A twelve-year-old single malt from Three Ships, made at the James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington, Western Cape, South Africa. It is bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
James Sedgwick is the only commercial whisky distillery in Africa. In 1991 Andy Watts, as master distiller, oversaw the move of whisky production there from a small distillery in Stellenbosch. The site is now home to both Three Ships and Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky.
Watts has more than 36 years in the whisky trade and is regarded as a leader of South Africa's whisky revolution.
