A 12 year old blended malt from Douglas Laing's Timorous Beastie range, released as the Mid Autumn Festival Edition in a 70cl bottle at 46.8% ABV.
It is made entirely from Highland single malts matured in oak casks, and bottled non-chill filtered and with natural colour. The packaging carries a full moon and golden motifs.
The nose is floral, with honeycomb, vanilla pod, orchard fruits, heather, nutmeg and lemon zest. On the palate come malted barley, golden syrup, cinnamon, toasted nuts and spiced apple. The finish is long, with honey, citrus peel and gentle spice.
