This is a 25 year old Tobermory distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2019 by Wilson & Morgan, at 55% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in second fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The age softens the edges of Tobermory's robust spirit without fully taming them. The oily character and the earthy, vegetal flavours remain, with a muscular body.
The flavours include liquorice, a hint of tarry boat coating, sultana raisins, a lively peachy sourness and candied orange peel. The sherry fruitiness is neither loud nor tannic.
