This is a 23 year old Tobermory from the Isle of Mull, distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2019 by Wilson & Morgan at 58.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
After its main maturation it spent four years in a second-fill Hungarian Tokaji cask. The bottling won a Gold Medal at the Milano Whisky Festival 2019. The finish has not turned it into an obvious wine-finished malt: it keeps Tobermory's oily, earthy and vegetal character and its robust body.
The Tokaji adds a layer of juicy fruit and sweetness, with honey, overripe apricots, raisins and dried plums.
