Tomatin 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured for at least 12 years in bourbon barrels and refill hogsheads, then spent the last eight months in sherry butts. It was first introduced in 2004, replacing the earlier 10 year old.
The nose is very fruity and slightly malty with a hint of peat. The palate is also fruity, with apples, pears, malt, nutty notes and sherry. The finish is refreshing and intense.
