Tomatin – 12 Year Old Bourbon & Sherry Casks (43%)

Tomatin 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt that joined the distillery's range in 2004. It is bottled at 43%. The whisky spent almost all of its twelve years in bourbon barrels and refill hogsheads, then received an eight-month finish in sherry casks. Its malty, fruity character comes from that combination of woods. The nose is very fruity and lightly malty, with a faint hint of smoke. On the palate there are apples, pears and other summer fruits, followed by malt, nutty notes and a pleasant sherry note. The finish is intense, fruity and refreshing.
