Tomatin 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from Scotland's Tomatin distillery. It is matured in bourbon casks and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is soft and fruity, with green apple, pear, lemon, orange, honey and vanilla, plus a little cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is sweet and balanced with a silky texture, bringing ripe peach and apricot together with caramel, dark chocolate and a light woody note. The finish is long and warm, with fruit and spice returning and the sherry character lingering.
