Tomatin – 15 Year Old Portuguese Collection 2006 Moscatel Cask (46%)

This 15 year old Tomatin comes from the distillery's Portuguese Collection, a limited series that follows the French Collection of 2021. It is bottled at 46% ABV. The spirit was distilled on 8 September 2006 and spent its first eight years in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks. On 23 April 2015 it was moved into Moscatel de Setubal wine casks for a further seven years. The nose offers sweet jam, honey and salted caramel with a hint of citrus. Caramel with salted almonds, star anise and soft ginger meet citrus fruit on the palate. The finish is long and sweet, recalling Mediterranean dessert wine.
