Tomatin – 30 Years Old Bourbon Casks Batch No. 5 (70cl, 46%)

This is a 30 year old Tomatin single malt, matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is Batch No. 5 of the series. The character is described as fresh and fruity, with berries, golden honey and smooth white chocolate, while the palate brings tropical fruit and creamy buttered vanilla together with a mix of spices. In the glass it shows honey and leather on the nose, with nutmeg, ginger, lemon, vanilla and herbs. The palate is herbal and spicy, with poppy seed, honey, white blossom and soft tropical fruit. The finish is dry and long, with a gentle bitterness underneath.
