This is Tomatin Cask Strength, a Highland single malt bottled at 57.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is an older version of the release, with an outturn of 15,000 bottles.
The whisky was matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks and first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is typically described as golden syrup, citrus and ginger biscuits. On the palate come toasted malt loaf, marzipan, burnt sugar, chestnuts, polished leather and vanilla, leading to a dry, lingering, spicy finish.
