Cù Bòcan Creation #5 is a peated Highland single malt from Tomatin, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in December 2011 and first matured in refill American oak hogsheads. In June 2021 it moved into Andean oak casks for a finish of just over a year, a first for a Scotch single malt. The release is limited to 8,400 bottles.
The nose is fresh and elegant, with spice and dried fruit. On the palate come orange blossom, rose, mango, papaya and passion fruit, round and soft with gentle sweetness and well-integrated smoke.
