Cù Bòcan is a peated Highland single malt from Tomatin, bottled at 46% vol. in a 70cl bottle. Peat was unusual for the distillery, which introduced its first peated single malt in 2013, and Cù Bòcan has since joined the standard Tomatin range.
The whisky is drawn from three kinds of cask: bourbon, Oloroso sherry and North American virgin oak.
The nose has light smoke, rich citrus and exotic spices. The smoke stays gentle on the palate, which is surprisingly sweet. The finish is very long and warm, growing drier, with a light smokiness throughout.
