Tomatin – Portuguese Collection 2006 15 Year Old Port Cask (46%)

This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, bottled at 46% as part of the distillery's Portuguese Collection. It follows the French Collection of 2021 as the second limited series from Tomatin. The spirit was distilled on 8 September 2006 and spent eight years in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks. On 23 April 2015 it was moved into Tawny Port casks for a further seven years. The nose recalls Black Forest gateau, with warm oriental spices opening into summer fruits. The palate is a deep, dark mix of blackberries, raspberries and cherries, with a sweetness of sultanas. The finish is long and sweet, the dark fruit giving way to peach and apricot.
