Tomatin The Italian Collection Amarone Cask is the second of three editions showing the influence of Italian wine casks on Tomatin single malt. The whisky was distilled on 6 December 2010 and moved into an Amarone cask on 10 February 2021.
It was bottled on 5 June 2023 at 46%, without chill-filtration or added colouring, in a 70cl bottle.
Poached pear, rhubarb and vanilla lead the nose. On the palate, strawberry jam comes with Turkish delight and fine butter pastry, and the finish carries an intense aroma of baked apples.
