Tomatin – The Italian Collection Barolo Cask (70cl, 46%)

This is Tomatin Barolo Cask, the third and final edition of The Italian Collection, in a 70cl bottle at 46% vol. The whisky was distilled on 6 December 2010 and matured for ten years in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks. On 10 February 2021 it was moved into a Barolo wine cask for a further two years, and it was bottled on 5 June 2023. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose offers mulled wine and dark chocolate. On the palate, spicy honey comes with cranberries and fresh grapefruit. The finish is light tannins and candied almonds.
