Oloroso sherry finish
A limited-edition 12 year old Speyside single malt from Tomintoul. The spirit matured first in American oak ex-bourbon casks, and these were then married and finished in Oloroso sherry butts from Andalucía in Spain. The sherry finish adds raisin, dried meat, walnut and stewed fruit to a spirit that is already fruity. The nose is sweet, with dried fruits, crème caramel and roast nuts over cocoa powder and baking spices. On the palate come golden syrup, chocolate raisins and brittle toffee, with fruit loaf, roast coffee beans and tobacco. The finish brings maple flapjacks, candied pecans and caffe latte, fading to tiramisu and warming wood spices.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
