This is a 14 year old Speyside single malt from Tomintoul, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered, which gives a richer, more robust style than the classic Tomintoul.
It matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, and the sweet distillery style is balanced by a textured, full-bodied and buttery character.
The nose is sweet, with sugared almond, icing sugar, orchard fruits, crème brûlée and a hint of lemon curd. The palate has Madagascan vanilla pod, toasted almonds, cinnamon danish, oat biscuits and citrus oils. The finish is warming and toasty, with roast hazelnuts, mocha and fresh grassy notes.
