This is a 24 year old Tomintoul from Speyside, distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2025 by Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice series. It comes from a single American oak hogshead and is bottled at 55.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The cask yielded 263 bottles.
The nose combines ripe tropical fruit, lemon zest and a little cocoa powder, with baked apple and soft herbal notes. On the palate there is pineapple and coconut, then toasted almonds, heather honey, pear and a touch of passionfruit. The finish is medium-bodied, with lingering citrus and mature oak.
