A Speyside single malt from Tomintoul, released in July 2024 as a small batch bottling at 40% ABV. The whisky was aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then married and finished in Amarone wine casks sourced from Italy.
Tomintoul is known as the gentle dram, and Robert Fleming is its Master Distiller. It belongs to Angus Dundee Distillers, which also owns Glencadam.
The nose offers cherry crumble, sultanas, baking spices, oatmeal flapjacks and cocoa. The palate brings summer fruit pudding, raspberry coulis, ginger biscuits, salted caramel and panna cotta. The finish is warming, with honey, raisins and pink peppercorn, then chocolate and cherry liqueur.
