Torabhaig Allt Gleann is the second edition in The Legacy Series from the Isle of Skye, a heavily peated single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It is made from Concerto and Laureate malted barley, fermented with Pinnacle and Safspirit yeast, and matured in first-fill bourbon and refill whisky casks. Each batch is drawn from no more than 30 casks, and it is bottled without colouring or chill filtration.
The nose is sweet, peppery peat with sacking, tobacco leaf, a hint of mint, sweet orange peel and a touch of chalk. The palate is oily and full, with barley husks, wood smoke, gentle salt and fennel. The finish carries tobacco, menthol and mild peat.
