Torabhaig Legacy Chapter 3 is a peated single malt from the Skye distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Cnoc Na Mòine means 'hill of the peat'. It is a limited release for 2024 and part of the Legacy series, which leads towards the distillery's tenth anniversary.
The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks, American oak Oloroso casks and Pedro Ximenez casks. The sherry casks add a sweet, rich taste and a deep colour.
The nose is medicinal, with dry smoke, a little salt and orange marmalade. On the palate come peat smoke, oak spice and white pepper, then balsamic notes and creamy fruit. The finish is long, with ashy peat and orange at the end.
