Torabhaig Allt Gleann Batch Strength is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 61.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is the third and probably last Allt Gleann release in the Legacy series, and is limited to 4,200 bottles.
It was matured only in hogsheads that previously held American bourbon. The barley was malted to 78+ ppm phenol, with 22.8 ppm remaining in the new make. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The series is named after one of the two streams beside the distillery.
The nose brings sea air, sea salt, heavy peat smoke and a hint of floral notes. The palate is robust and maritime, with sea salt and seaweed, and the finish is long with dry, salty peat smoke.
