Torabhaig – Legacy Series Cnoc Na Moine (70cl, 46%)

Torabhaig Cnoc Na Moine is a peated single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is the third release in the distillery's Legacy Series and the first in the series to use sherry casks. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks, Oloroso sherry casks and Pedro Ximénez casks. It is bottled without added colour and without chill-filtering. The nose offers softened peat smoke with orange peel, lively fruit, a hint of embers, vanilla and freshly sawn oak. On the palate the peat returns with a barbecue note, followed by pepper, light balsamic acidity, cedar and leather, with the sherry casks adding depth.
