Sound of Sleat is the fourth chapter in Torabhaig's Legacy Series. It is a peated single malt matured in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels and virgin American oak, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The label and packaging were designed by local artist Ellis O'Connor, and a QR code on the back of the bottle shows how the design came about.
The nose is sweet pipe tobacco smoke with vanilla, boiled sweets, apricot, potpourri and savoury notes. The palate is elegant and light, with bonfire smoke, brine and zesty oak, then seaweed and marmalade. The finish is long, with honey and brine.
