Niall is the first edition in Torabhaig's Distillers' Series, the Skye distillery's experimental range. It is bottled at 59.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The malt is made from 90% peated malt, 5% dark crystal malt and 5% brown malt, and it matured in first fill bourbon barrels and refill rum casks.
The nose is bright and led by tropical fruit, with cooked pineapple, guava and pear, plus vanilla and a beach bonfire note. The palate brings juicy orange, malted biscuits and sea salt, and the finish is long and warming with spice.
