Torabhaig – Signature Reserve Tokaj Cask (70cl, 59.3%)

This is a limited-edition single cask Torabhaig from the Isle of Skye, finished in a single Tokaj wine cask, number 3516. Tokaj is the Hungarian sweet wine region. It is bottled at a cask strength of 59.3% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The nose combines peat smoke and sea air with ripe apricots, golden raisins and honeycomb, plus lemon peel, vanilla cream and baking spices. The palate is powerful, with sweet stone fruit, candied citrus and honeyed richness over smoked malt, sea salt and peat, then sultanas, vanilla fudge and pepper. The finish is long and warming, with smoked honey, dried apricots, citrus oil and soft peat.
