Torabhaig Sound of Sleat is a single malt from Skye, the fourth bottling in the distillery's Legacy Series. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It was distilled from Concerto and Laureate malted barley peated to 78 PPM, and matured in American oak (Quercus alba) barrels, both new, heavily toasted ones and ex-bourbon barrels.
The nose has seaweed, apricot, peat, orange and vanilla. On the palate, sweet and smoky notes sit in balance, with campfire, honey, oak, pepper and stewed fruit. The finish is of medium length, fresh, sweet and smoky.
