Sound of Sleat is the fourth chapter in the Legacy Series from Torabhaig, the distillery on the Isle of Skye, and was bottled in 2025. It takes its name from the narrow stretch of sea behind the distillery that separates Skye from the mainland. The bottling is 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring.
The malt is made from Concerto and Laureate barley, peated to over 78 ppm and fermented for 72 hours with Pinnacle MG yeast. It matured only in American oak: heavily toasted first-fill casks, first-fill bourbon barrels and refill bourbon barrels.
The nose brings orange, apricot, seaweed and honey, while the palate is smoky, salty and gently waxy.
