Torabhaig – The Distiller's Series Niall's First Edition (70cl, 59.3%)

Torabhaig The Distiller's Series Niall's First Edition is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, created by Niall Culbertson, who has been on the production team since distilling began in 2017. It is bottled at a cask strength of 59.3% in a 70cl bottle. Niall drew on the seas around Skye and days spent with his fisherman father. He made a lightly peated spirit (12 to 15ppm) from 90% lightly peated malt, 5% brown malt and 5% dark crystal malt, fermented for up to 120 hours. It was matured in ex-Bourbon and refill rum casks. The aim was a softer, less smoky whisky with added richness and sweetness, and a more tropical side from the rum casks.
