Torabhaig – The Distillers' Series Iona's First Edition (70cl, 60.9%)

Iona's First Edition is the first release in The Distillers' Series from Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye, a collection celebrating the people behind the distillery. It is named after Iona, a member of the founding team, and is a single malt in the distillery's well-tempered peat style. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.9% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and in natural colour. The nose is peat smoke, grilled citrus, vanilla pod and baked orchard fruit, with honeycomb, toasted barley, sea spray, black pepper and oak spice. The palate is rich and oily, with sweet malt, salted caramel, stone fruit and lemon zest, then maritime peat, mineral notes and gentle pepper. The finish is long and warming, with soft peat embers, honeyed malt, citrus oils and toasted oak.
