Torabhaig – The Distillers' Series Niall's First Edition (70cl)

This is a limited-edition single malt from Torabhaig on the Isle of Skye, part of the Distillers' Series and made as a personal expression by Torabhaig whisky maker Niall Culbertson. It draws on the sea, his father's life as a fisherman and his long appreciation of rum. The malt is 90% lightly peated Concerto barley with 5% Brown Malt and 5% Dark Crystal malt, matured in first-fill bourbon casks and refill rum barrels. It is bottled without chill filtration or artificial colouring, with label artwork by Skye artist Eilidh Mackenzie. The nose offers sea breeze, tropical fruit and gentle peat smoke. The palate has ripe tropical fruit and light smoke, and the finish is long, with maritime freshness, peat and toasted oak.
