Tormore – 10 Year Old 2015 1st Fill Amontillado Sherry Hogshead Cask 333/2015 The Old Friends (54.5%)

This is a single cask Speyside single malt from Tormore, selected by independent bottler The Old Friends. It was distilled in August 2015 and matured for ten years in a first fill Amontillado sherry hogshead, cask 333/2015. The result was 325 bottles, filled at a cask strength of 54.5% without chill filtration. The nose combines sherry notes with ripe peach and juicy orange, along with vanilla and a hint of coffee. The palate is full and creamy, with strong vanilla, walnuts, roasted almonds and a light coffee note. The finish is long, led by walnut and almond, with a fruity echo.
