Tormore – 12 Year Old (46%)

Tormore 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 46% ABV, and the cornerstone of the distillery's new official core range. The distillery was long known mainly through independent bottlings, and this is its own release. The spirit is described as lightly oily in texture, with fermentation and distillation aimed at bringing out fruit. The casks add structure without overpowering its fresh character. The nose offers ripe apples and fresh pears with sweet honey, soft vanilla and a touch of citrus. The palate is fruity with delicate floral notes, fine almonds and mild baking spices. The finish is balanced, with oak and fresh fruit.
