Tormore – 12 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

Tormore 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, described as the cornerstone of the distillery's new core range. It is matured for twelve years in a combination of bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks, and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The nose brings ripe pear, green apple and peach with honey, vanilla pod and delicate floral notes, plus orange zest, toasted almonds and soft oak spice. On the palate it is smooth, with sweet malt, vanilla and orchard fruits, then apricot, toffee and golden raisins. Baking spices, roasted nuts and a touch of dark chocolate come from the Oloroso casks. The finish is long and warming, with honeyed malt, dried fruit, cinnamon and toasted oak.
