Tormore 16 Year Old is a Speyside single malt aged in a combination of bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and in natural colour.
The nose is baked apple, ripe pear and apricot with honey, vanilla cream and orange marmalade, plus toasted hazelnuts and cinnamon. The palate is silky and full-bodied, with poached orchard fruit, toffee and vanilla custard, then figs, dates, sultanas, roasted almonds and milk chocolate. The finish is long and smooth, with honeyed malt, dried fruit, soft oak spice and roasted nuts, and a hint of dark chocolate and citrus zest.
