Tormore – 16 Year Old (70cl, 46.8%)

This is a 16 year old Tormore single malt, bottled at 46.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle for Elixar Distillers. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The whisky was double matured, with deliberately gentle wood influence, and finished in a variety of sherry casks. The aim is a balanced sherry style that leaves the fruity character of the spirit clear, with a slightly richer, creamier mouthfeel. Spiced buttered brioche leads to sticky dates, demerara fudge and lemon oil, while blueberry jam and vanilla fudge add depth.
