This is a 31-year-old Tormore from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice series. It was distilled in 1991 and matured in a single refill sherry butt, cask 15381, before bottling on 17 November 2022.
The cask yielded 518 bottles at a natural cask strength of 56.1%. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers raisins, sweet raspberry syrup and caramelised nuts, with a faint note of orange. On the palate come rich fruit cake, bittersweet nut chocolate, Christmas spices and a touch of ginger. The finish is full and long, with aniseed and toasted oak.
