This is a Tormore single malt from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It was distilled in 2000 and bottled on 26 July 2022 at a cask strength of 59.1%, in a 70cl bottle.
It matured for 22 years in a first-fill sherry butt, and 618 bottles were filled.
The nose offers stewed fruit, vanilla and roasted coffee beans. The palate opens sweet with morello cherries, then grapefruit and charred oak. The finish is spicy, with mixed nuts and plums.
