Tormore – 28 Year Old (42.4%)

This Tormore was distilled on 16 November 1992 and bottled in 2021 at 28 years old. It comes from a single refill bourbon hogshead and was bottled at 42.4%, in an outturn of 253 bottles. The nose has red apple, citrus sweets and wax, with a note of Riesling, followed by pastries, jam and tropical fruit. The palate is sweet and waxy and remarkably fruity, with afternoon tea, Garibaldi biscuits, jam and menthol. The finish is clean and long, with mandarins and pleasant herbal notes.
