Town Branch Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It comes from Town Branch Distillery in Lexington, run by Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co.
The mashbill is 72% corn, 15% malted barley and 13% rye. It is fermented in cypress wood containers, distilled in two copper pot stills from Scotland, and aged in new charred white oak barrels.
The nose is honeysuckle, floral potpourri, oak, cantaloupe and peach. The palate is smooth and oily, with caramel, toffee, brown sugar and tropical fruit, and the finish is gentle and long, with tobacco and nut.
