Town Branch Single Malt is an American single malt from Lexington, Kentucky, distilled from 100% malted barley and aged for a minimum of seven years. It is bottled at 43.5% ABV without chill filtration, in a 75cl bottle.
The whiskey matures in the distillery's own Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale barrels, casks that first held bourbon and then the distillery's beer. Town Branch began as a brewery, and single malt distilling started at the Lexington site in 2008.
Malt and biscuit with dried apricot and peach lead the nose. The palate brings molasses, vanilla and brown sugar with nutmeg warmth, and the finish is orange peel over sweet malt.
