Town Branch True Cask is a cask-strength Kentucky straight bourbon from Town Branch Distillery in Lexington, in a 750ml bottle. It blends the distillery's two mash bills, a high-malt recipe and a more traditional high-corn one, and is bottled uncut and non-chill filtered.
The whiskey is aged for a minimum of 3.5 years in new American oak. Each batch is bottled at its own natural strength, so releases differ slightly from one to the next.
The nose is vanilla and cherry with oak and honey. The palate is full, with caramel, brown sugar, vanilla and oak spice over a malty, bready core, and the long, warm finish carries cherry and toasted oak.
