Town Branch Single Malt is an American single malt made from 100% malted barley at Town Branch Distillery in Lexington, Kentucky. It is bottled at 43.5% in a 75cl bottle.
The spirit is distilled in two copper pot stills imported from Scotland and fermented in cypress wood vessels. It matured for at least seven years in new oak barrels that had first held Town Branch Bourbon and then Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale.
Brown sugar, vanilla bean and nutmeg mark the nose. The palate has light caramel, orange peel, almond bread and toasted malt. The finish is medium-long, with baking spices, dark dried fruit and a faint stout-like note.
