Trail's End is a Kentucky straight bourbon, aged eight years in new charred American oak in Kentucky and then finished with Oregon oak (Garryana). It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle by Hood River Distillers, without chill filtering.
The mash bill is corn, malted barley and about 10% rye. After the move to Hood River, Oregon, the bourbon is proofed with glacier-fed spring water from Mt. Hood. It is the first collaboration between Hood River Distillers and Clear Creek Distillery.
Aromas of toasted hazelnut, stone fruit, ruby port and apple lead, with roasted apples, hazelnut, chocolate and candy cap mushroom on the palate. The finish is long, warm and buttery, with malt spice, a touch of char, sweet cream and hazelnut.
