Traverse City Whiskey Co. North Coast Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Traverse City, Michigan, bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It won Double Gold at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It blends two rye whiskeys: one made from 100% rye, the other from 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Both are aged for a minimum of three years in new charred American oak. The nose is soft vanilla over rye spice. The palate offers caraway and honey with warm nutmeg, and the finish is bright citrus zest over lingering grain spice.
