This is a 17 year old single malt from Ardmore, bottled by Tri Carragh at 55.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2023, after maturing in a refill bourbon hogshead.
The nose is sweet tobacco, toasted oak, sweet herbal peat and crème brûlée, with vanilla becoming more prominent when water is added. The palate is sweet and chewy, with plenty of smoky embers, and water heightens the sweetness.
