Tullamore D.E.W. is a blended Irish whiskey combining grain, malt and pot still whiskeys. It is triple distilled and aged in a mix of ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose has light citrus and crisp green apple over delicate vanilla. The palate begins with fresh orchard fruits, then a subtle spicy kick and gentle toasted wood. Sweet vanilla builds mid-palate and leads to a smooth, buttery finish.
The texture is mellow and silky.
