Second-fill bourbon barrel ex Longmorn
A 12 year old Tullibardine single malt from the Highlands, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2023 by A.D. Rattray at 55.1% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, from a Cask Collection release of 174 bottles. The whisky matured for nine years in refill bourbon, then moved to a second-fill bourbon barrel that had previously been used to finish a Longmorn 2013. The effect is less a finish than a gradual layering of fresh fruit. Fresh pear, lemon sorbet and lush grass show on the nose. The palate has crisp green apple, roasted chestnut and kiwi, and the finish is sparkling with citrus and orchard fruits.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
