This is a single cask Tullibardine from the Highlands, matured for 6 years in a first-fill sherry hogshead. The Single Cask Ltd bottled it in September 2020 at a cask strength of 65.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 322 bottles, and the whisky is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
The nose starts lightly savoury, then dense sherry, black pepper, raisins, malt, oak and cinnamon, with cigar leaf, apricot and cashew emerging later. The palate has sherry in control, with savoury rancio, raisins, apricot, dry oak, malt and black pepper. The finish is long and spicier, with nutmeg joining the cinnamon.
