Tullibardine – Sherry Finish 500 (70cl, 43%)

Tullibardine Sherry Finish 500 is a Highland single malt matured in two stages. It rests first in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, then is finished in Spanish Oloroso sherry butts. The 500 in the name refers to the 500-litre capacity of those finishing casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. Tasting notes describe a nose of intense toffee apple with a light oat note. The palate is viscous and spicy, with hints of Christmas baking spices, and the finish brings sweet dates together with peppery spice.
